Metaphorical Musings- Inflight 'I' Dream of 'You'
What does it mean to say a metaphor gives your life meaning? What does it mean to think it; to know it, to play with the idea... Is there a difference between these? My life, your life, his or her life, their life. What is the difference in meaning between the multiple relational subject positions we all occupy, in language and experience? Is making a metaphor in writing from life experience an act of claiming identity that can make all grand claims one makes seem false, ring untrue to ones-self, let alone 'the Other'? Do you have problems with knowing ‘who you are’, your Identity? Self-confidence? Come fly with us, leave your troubles behind.
